The island off Europe’s north-westernmost shores may be famous for its amiable eccentrics and curiosities, but it also boasts hauntingly beautiful landscapes and above all a monumental cultural heritage featuring great literature and spellbinding music that has always – throughout the centuries – had a distinctive character of its own.
Once again, ARSONORE 2023 embarks on a voyage of exploration and invites its esteemed guests on board for a many-splendoured journey to ENGLAND – but without paying undue attention to Brexit or the country’s internal political troubles. Our aim to pull out all the stops of British music from the grandeur of the Baroque through to the scintillating tones of Britpop.
We promise you exciting and enjoyable encounters with hitherto largely unknown musical treasures, top-level performances of all-time highlights of the chamber music repertoire, and literary pleasures too – performed for you by much-loved ARSONORE regulars, prominent new guest artists, and phenomenal rising stars.
In a nutshell, our wish for you in this ninth edition of our festival of surprises is: BE AMUSED!
